General Manager
Pro Refrigeration Inc. has been growing steadily and is now seeking to dramatically accelerate growth. We are looking for a mission-focused, seasoned, strategic, and process-minded leader with experience scaling an organization, leading an executive management team, and developing a performance culture among a group of diverse, talented individuals. The General Manager must be a leader who is able to help others at Pro deliver measurable, cost-effective results that make the vision a reality. The successful General Manager will have the skill, strength, and personal confidence to hold each member of the team accountable as required to accomplish this mission and stay on course. While it is essential that the General Manager bring efficient and effective systems to increase the productivity of the organization, is it also critical that we retain the team/family spirit that defines Pro.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to CEO, the General Manager will lead all internal operations and will have the following responsibilities:

  • Working in partnership with CEO to create the strategic five-year plan and implement new processes and approaches to achieve it.
  • Serve as the internal leader of the organization:
    • Coordinate the annual operations plan and budget
    • Lead the performance management process that measures and evaluates progress against goals for the organization
    • Provide for all staff a strong day-to-day leadership presence; support an open-door policy among all staff
  • Lead each department of the Pro Management Team
    • Sales
    • Operations/Engineering
    • Human Resources
    • Finance/Accounting
    • Purchasing
    • Technology
  • Work with the Corporate Officers/Board of Directors: present to the group quarterly meetings and serve on several board committees
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will embrace and believe in the core values of Pro and be driven by their mission. The candidate should demonstrate a passion for pushing the boundaries, constantly striving to lead the company to the next level in production, quality, and knowledge.

The successful candidate will most likely have had management experience with a manufacturing company of high quality equipment. As noted, this is an organization driven by the values of its people, so experience in managing a “values-driven” organization will be highly prized. Additional requirements are:
  • Results—proven track record of exceeding goals and a bottom-line orientation; evidence of the ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment; high level of business acumen, including successful P&L management and the ability to balance the delivery of programs against the realities of a budget; problem solving, project management, and creative resourcefulness
  • Strategic Vision and Agility—ability to think strategically, anticipate future consequences and trends, and incorporate them into the organizational plan
  • Capacity Building—ability to effectively build organization and staff capacity, developing a top-notch workforce and the processes that ensure the organization runs smoothly
  • Leadership and Organization—exceptional capacity for managing and leading people; a team builder who has experience in scaling up organizations; ability to connect with staff both on an individual level and in large groups; capacity to enforce accountability, develop and empower top-notch leaders from the bottom up, lead from the top down, cultivate entrepreneurship, and learn the strengths and weaknesses of the team so as to put people in a position to succeed
  • Action Oriented—enjoys working hard and looks for challenges; able to act and react as necessary, even if limited information is available; not afraid to take charge of a situation; can overcome resistance to leadership and take unpopular stands when necessary
  • General Management—thorough understanding of finance, systems, and HR; broad experience with the full range of business functions and systems, including strategic development and planning, budgeting, business analysis, finance, information systems, human resources, and marketing
  • Solid educational background—undergraduate degree required; MBA or similar advanced degree highly desired. Must possess a track record of continuous growth and self improvement through training, education, and independent study.
  • As a refrigeration company, knowledge and understanding of the principles of Refrigeration will be a plus. Pro will require the General Manager to successfully complete each training session that Pro currently offers.

Refrigeration Mechanic
Pro Refrigeration Inc., manufacturer of Packaged Chiller Systems, is seeking a Refrigeration Technician for; In-house Equipment Fabrication, Equipment Start Up, Customer Field Training, and Equipment Commissioning. Pro is a 30+ person firm that specializes in manufacturing Packaged Glycol Chiller Systems for numerous niche markets including; Bakery, Brewery, Winery, Dairy, and others. Their high quality systems will typically operate at glycol temperatures ranging from 15 F to 40 F.

A minimum of 5 years Service experience is required with a strong understanding of microprocessor controls, variable frequency drives, electronic expansion valves, etc. Pro will provide product specific training, please be open to learning new processes and technologies.

Applicants time will be split between in-house equipment Start Up/Testing and Field Start Up Projects. Typical 3-5 day Field Start Up occurs at customer facilities across the continental US, plus a few international locations. Applicant must be responsible, driven, and possess a strong attention to detail. Travel could encompass 30 to 50% of applicants schedule. Applicant will be required to be based in the Auburn, WA (30 minutes south of Seattle) region, relocation assistance may be available.

Applicant must possess good communication skills and have the gift to teach and train. Customer field training to involve maintenance and troubleshooting training with the customer or customer’s contractor.

Electrical Assistant
Pro has an immediate opening for an Electrical Assistant to work in our ETL/UL508 Panel Shop. Although we are more than willing to train the right candidate to read electrical schematics and work with the required tools, each candidate should have a natural attention to details, a high level of initiative and motivation, and work well as part of a team.
